Thinking of FINALLY getting WoW...thoughts?

So finally, Tobs and I are considering getting WoW. So far, we've mentioned it to some people who have just looked at us like a deer looks at headlights and said, "Don't do it..."

But I trust all of your opinions, and would like to know what you all think about it.

Speaking as a player who has picked it up again, and a friend. It can be a very fun and entertaining experience. Keep in mind it's like any other MMO, it has it's problems, it has the "noob" players, and there can be moments where it may seem like crap.

But all that aside there is a reason 8 million people play it, including myself. I think it's worth picking up, if at least to see it and get a feel for it. Or if you're not sure, find someone who plays and have them send you a 10 day guest pass, or get a trial version at EB. You gotta see it for yourself at the very least Twisted Evil

A BE pally or derani shaman would be a good choice cause those will be in demand classes

I have most of my main characters on Hyjal on Alliance and 2 Characters on Garathos<sp>. An undead rogue and blood elf pally.

I'm having fun still.

Oh and the blood elf mounts look like evil chocobos.

Bah, its fun, dont listen to the naysayers...

but be warned, dont expect to have much of a life after beginning it unless you have amazing willpower to actually pull yourself away =P

If you have friends it's a great game.
It's not as party dependent as FFXI, and you can actually manage to solo for a loooooooong time, even on a PVP server. I would say try it out, if you like it buy it. I know I've just got back into it.

The trick is moderation, don't let it take over your life and you'll be fine.
