Hey everyone. I came across this while on the Wizards of the Coast website today:

Wizards of the Coast's Digital Initiative

Apparently they're moving more into the digital gaming realm, partly because of the success of Magic Online. While I would absolutely love working for them, technical stuff is not really my realm of expertise, but I know that a lot of people here are into that sort of thing, so I figured I'd share this with you all.

I, for one, think it would be awesome to work for a gaming company. And while this isn't really an opportunity for me, maybe it can be an opportunity for some of you.

Neat.

You have to like the idea of them doing things like this. Actually taking their players and making them into more than that.

Some of the things Wizards does I'm not a fan of (Dreamblade for instance), but they have got something going in this area.

Just realise the hard work that goes into working at a game company, sometimes you tend to hate what you work on, because by the time the product is out, you dont really want to play it anymore...so may want to work for a place you dont really care overly about playing after the fact. Just something to keep in mind. Make sure that you can have your cake and eat it too, not have your cake and let it spoil XD

I saw this in my wizard's RSS feed. Looks like a good opertunity, Wizards has a lot of success in both analog and digital entertainment, and I can only see the last generation of nerds growing up, earning more money as they get older, and spending more on this form of entertainment. Game on, WotC
