I assume anyone with a 360 knows about this. For those that don't, MS is doing something with the gamer scores.
If you raise your gamerscore 1500 points over the span of 2 months (2/12 to 4/15) you get some free stuff.
For me, the only interesting thing would be Contra for XBLA.
I have to say it's a good idea though. And it's really not hard to get your gamerscore up if you are playing.
I happened to buy Kameo the other day. B/c of it, my gamerscore has gone up 365 points in the last 2 days.
And with Guitar Hero coming out next week. I've seen some of the acheivments on there... shouldn't be to hard to do.
This is the kind of thing that I think Sony and Nintendo should get into. I thought it was pretty dumb when I first heard about it, but after having a 360 for a couple of months now, I have to say... I like it. |

Man they are retarded.
Not sure if people have heard about this, but MS had a lot of problems with their rewards site to start with. Many people had a lot of problems signing up. Well b/c of that, I didn't get to register until the 2/19.
Since 2/12, I have earned 1600 points, which qualifies me as being done, but they don't go by date, they go by when you joined. So since THEY had issues with their site, they want me to score another 60 points since I scored 160 points before registering.
Get your act together MS. If you say within the dates, then it needs to be within the dates.

How many of your games actually remember all of the dates when you unlocked the achievements? I've been playing through Tony Hawk Project 8 lately, and it seems like some achievements show the date, and some don't - even ones I got on the same day. I agree with you 100% that the requirements should go by the date the achievements were unlocked, but first that would require that MS get their act together on making sure that all of one's achievements properly show and report the date they were gained.
Stupid buggy piece of....oh well, there are pretty games. |

True. And yes, it would be nice if they all had dates. But after looking at my achievements... 140 of the 160 that I scored before registration are dated 2/18.
I just sent their support an email since they now have a Xbox rewards item in their support selections...
I was a little frustrated when I posted... little more calm during this email...

When I go look at the achievements, it even tells me that 140 of those points were scored on 2/18...

I also got the "Found Pummle Weed" achievement during this time, but that one doesn't have a date next to it. So even with this one not tracked, I'm still 80 points over.
I started the challenge when I was at 745. I am now at 2345. I did this within the dates, and the fact that the site says I need 60 more points because of a problem on your end is very disappointing. I'm sure I'm not the only one having this problem. I am just emailing because I'm going to be pretty upset if I have to get 60 more points, and when I get them, all the Contras are gone.
It would be nice if there was something that you guys could do to make it so I was done now.
60 points is pretty easy, and I will probably get them tonight, however, I wanted to voice my thoughts that I don't believe this is being handled well since the reason I'm currently not done with this challenge is because of a problem with the Rewards site.
If there is something that you can do to help, I would appreciate it.

What's even worse, you can tell it's a copy past thing in the email they sent me b/c the initial "thanks for contacting" and "I apologize" is in a different font than the "After you register" BS. |
