Children Do The Darnedest Things

Now that my little one has reached an age where he interacts and mimics more, I've noticed he is a lot more hilarious.

His major words right now are mostly single word commands such as move, out, sit, eat, as well as a few others liek kitty and dog and flower. All of which create hilarious situations. He has also come into a room and yelled my first name once as well. His favourite thing to do right now is refuse to give anyone hugs or kisses when they ask. He went a whole week without giving his Grammy a hug.

Last night:

My mom had asked for a hug or kiss or just anything. He had nearly strangled me while hugging me, had given my dad a kiss, and then said nini and was going through teh living room when he came across the cat. He gave the cat a kiss, and I finally persuaded him to go give Grammy a hug. He went in, said "ma" next to her seat, and gave her a kiss, grabbing both sides of her face. So my mother rated below teh cat. On top of that, he gave the poor kitty liek three or four more kisses by the time we got to the bottom of the stairs.

Gotta love independent two year olds. I am regularly kicked out of whatever room he is in with a point and "OUT!"

My oldest boy says the weirdest things. One of the funniest things he ever said was, "Your tongue is like a wet bed for your food."

It still makes me laugh.

lol awsome. Well, to an extent. Doctor Terin* says not to give your kids too much power, lest they forget that their parents' word is law.

*Terin is in not a certified doctor in the same sense that Col. Sanders was never a Colonel in the military. Any advice about children that is given by Terin is therefore not professional and cannot be used against him in a court of law. Terin's a smart smart guy, he just doesn't have the docs to prove it. Choosing not to take Terin's advice into consideration may result in varying degrees of unpleasantness based on your decision, and Terin reserves the right to say "I told you so" even though he probably won't because he hates people like that.

Ahh, my god-daughter informed her mother that she has a big butt.

She's 2, has a cat as a nursemaid, and a baby brother who likes to chase her doing the moonwalk in his walker!

Rachaels current thing is telling the dogs off, especially our youngest one Mimi.

She chasesd her round the lounge and Mimi will try to settle down to go sleep or something and Rach will come along shouting "Mimi No" so with a grunt Mimi goes somewhere else only for her to do it again.

Every day brings up something funny.

Another thing she does is grab my Donkey Konga bongoes and bashes along whenever I play Guitar Hero.

She's 3 in May.

My oldest has to have the last word in every conversation. If he asks a question and you answer it he will add something to your answer just so he can sound smarter than you. He knows everything... just ask him, he'll tell you!
