As one of the worst-kept Xbox Live Arcade secrets in recent memory, we've been waiting for Ubisoft and Konami (who originally developed the game, but doesn't own the license anymore) to finally give up and announce that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is coming to the service. IGN poked them enough -- and they caved.
And lo, the people celebrated with cheers. The good times don't end there, either, as Ubisoft's also said the arcade port, which arrives sometime this month, will only cost users 400 Microsoft Points ($5) - a hell of a deal considering we're dealing with a licensed property and people are always willing to pay a little more to re-experience their nostalgia.
Rounding out the deal is two-to-four player online co-op play via XBL, thanks to the reworking of the folks at Digital Eclipse, who have handled a number of XBL Arcade ports so far. Here's hoping this one doesn't come with bundled multiplayer, ala Contra. |

I'm not sure whether I consider "We're giving you TMNT!Arcade" to be pr0n or a wedding proposal. This is quite possibly the coolest thing to be brought to XBLA since Marble Blast and UMK3. |
