Microsoft announced that Windows Live Messenger for Xbox 360 will launch on May 7, 2007, which will be included as part of the Xbox 360 Spring Update. Xbox 360 players will be able to chat with friends across the Windows Live Messenger network and Xbox Live community.
You can chat with up to 6 people simultaneously, while playing games, listening to music or watching movies. It is also possible to voice chat or video chat over Windows Live Messenger.
Microsoft will also release a 47-keys QWERTY style keyboard add-on this summer, which can be attached to the bottom of the Xbox 360 controller.

Luckily, they are FINALLY letting you use a normal usb keyboard with the spring up date.
Way to catch up with the stone ages MS.
The 360 can finally do something that the PS3 has always been able to do... and... actually... my PS2 has always been able to do too! |

I've been able to use normal usb keyboards with my 360 since the PSU beta, probably sooner than that I just never tried. The keyboard add-on looks interesting, but uncomfortable. Guess we'll see how it works out. |

I just tested what BK said (not saying he is lying, I just never knew that as well) and he is right. You can USB keyboards already (I just used voice messages before, never texted too much amongst friends). My Zboard just worked fine when typing for messages. |
