Ragnarock Online - BETA

I stumbled across this game, i forget how, but i remember someone here saying they playtested this before. I saw the beta files were still up and are now DLing them. My question is...is it worth the time and is there anything special i need to do to get it running. (its got one .exe file and some 20+ .rar files) Any help and comments appreciated and welcomed.

AlloO! Yeah, I'm currently in the Beta of Ragnarok Online. Tho there's a catch at the moment.. It's currently in Closed Beta, which means everyone who's in right now is all that's in till the end of February.

So I'm not sure how good that download'll do ya, but RO will be back to an open beta (I think) either late February or early March <^^>

Definately check it out tho! It's a really awesome and addicting game! (I quit playing PSO because too much of my time was playing RO)

If anyone here's in the current Closed Beta tho, look for me! I've got a Knight tha's currently level 53, job level 15 named Malus <^^>

Well this kinda sux. I finally got the files DL'd and loaded and got the game started....Login Please. CRAP! Went to the site to register...nope. CRAP! So i have what i hear is a very cool game...and i can't play it. CRAP!

Guys, this would rock if we could get together on this. Send me whatever info (where to get files, the website, etc) about this game you can get.
Tell me a sword carrying knight, gun toting cat, and axe wielding rabbit wouldn't RULE that place! Ha!

So we're planning a world takeover in February?

Okay, well here's Cobbi's Brief Guide to Ragnarok Online for the Uninitiated.

As it is currently set up, Ragnarok is home to many anime-styled citizens. The world is broken up in to several cities, each of which is home to shops, houses, inns, guilds, and dungeons. Here are the major ones:

Prontera - Your typical kingdom, with a grand castle at its north side. This is by far the largest and most populated city of all. It is also home to hundreds upon hundreds of merchants peddling their wares. A great place to visit if you're looking to buy somthing that isn't avaliable in stores, place a bet in a player-driven auction, or sell some stuff of your own. Prontera is sometimes shortened as Pront or Pron, and sometimes mispelled as Porn by those without keyboarding skills. It is also home to the Knight guild and Acolyte guild.

Izlude - A smaller suberb of Prontera, Izlude is a nice quiet port town that is home to a variety of food merchants including meat and fruit/vegetables. Izlude is also home of the Swordsman guild. From the port you can take a ship to either Bibiland/Byaland Island (it's called both), or Alberta.

Morroc - A desert town, located on the far western side of the Sograt Desert. While no guilds are located in the town itself, to the southeast is the Assassin Temple, and to the northwest is the Pyramid where the Thieves Guild is located in the basement.

Geffen - This is definately the town of magic. Both the Mage and Wizard guilds are located here, and the dungeon in the basement of Geffen Tower is mainly handled by wizards at its lower levels due to enemies invurnable to physical attacks.

Payon - Very asian type place despite being located in the middle of the jungle. This is where the Archers and Hunters hang out, and is also home to the Payon Caves where the undead like to hang out.

Alberta - Barely anyone hangs out in Alberta, despite its attempts to be the main port town of the world Rune-Midgard. Merchants call this place their home. You can also take a boat here to Izlude or the Ghost Ship.

Al de Baran - A very quiet yet lovely town that seems to be the most technologically advanced place. This town is mainly deserted due to it being surrounded by agressive enemies and hard to reach by lower-level characters. Eventually this will be the home of the Clock Tower, a new dungeon.

Glast Heim - A town of pure evil that hasn't been implemented yet. Every area in the town is its own dungeon, so one can safely say this will be the home to many high-level characters who want a big challenge.

And now for the character classes.

-1st level Jobs-

Swordsman - Often called swordies, these are your typical tanks and are always towards the front of the melee. They are endowed with the ability to master any sword, provoke an enemy to attack them, bash an enemy for accellerated damage, endure attacks without hesitating, and create a firey attack that hits all enemies around him/her.

Thief - The agility masterminds (of 1st level jobs that is) of the game. They can steal, attack very quickly with knives/daggers, hide from sight, and do double attacks. They can also poison enemies.

I am on the game, but I am lost as it is.

I got a level 11 Archer (job level 3) named RuneLateralus. All I can do for now is level up. Not sure where to go.
