Yup, there's a Soul Calibur game coming for Wii.
This one is said to be an action/adventure game.
Sounds interesting. We will see.

Namco's fighting game turns into an action adventure game.
By Yoshi Sato, 05/09/2007
Namco is currently developing Soul Calibur Legends, an action adventure game for the Wii, according to an article on the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu.
The game takes place in the 16th century where players will meet and fight against characters from the Soul Calibur series. Players will use the Wii remote for sword fighting action.
That's all the information we have at the moment, but we'll be back with more very soon. |

O___O mmm, if it's anywhere near as good as Zelda, then I might have found a new love (action-adventure/AARPGs are my favorite genres) |

I completely 100% endorse the Rogue Galaxy advertisement. xD RG = best game ever, even better than Dynasty Warriors and FFX-2 and FFVI ^_^
And I'm interested in this too. I liked SCIII a lot, and it sounds like they might be doing something somewhat like that whole 'tactical' mode or whatever that was with this? |

Ohhh baby. The best fighting game ever (suck it, DoA button mashers and Tekken one-hit-killers) gets a new installment! Here's hoping for silky smoothness like the others. |

OK... ummm I can agree with DoA button mashers (worst 3D fighting series ever?). But Tekken one-hit-killers?
Not sure where that came from. I'll agree that not all the characters are balanced in Tekken, but I don't think anyone has a 1 hit kill.
Anyway, I hope they make this game worth while. |

I think he means one-combo kill. You just chain up moves and can get the opponent KO without him ever having the chance of getting a punch in.
One thing that I'll say in favor of DoA is that reversals save the game, especially in DoA2. That's why I prefer it to SC. In DoA, button mash barrages can easily be punished, unlike SC where someone could win by basically doing windmills with his arms and waiting for you to get caught in it. Shuri sux0rs at SC. |
