Something I've known for a while - and that was a major complaint about the PS3, actually, was that the lower-priced object excluded the very thing that was supposed to make people want a PS3.
I'm probably waiting until the very last moment until I make any sort of HD switch, because by then things should be in order for all the appropriate digital and HD technology, and it should come standard. I don't like the DRM scheme at all, and will silently cheer when someone finds ways of maintaining high-quality material with the DRM scheme being cracked. |

HDVT was annoying me so I fixed it.
Clark Howard was actually talking about this yesterday.
He said that HDTV's show HDTV BEAUTIFULLY but non-HD channels look like crap.
He said the Tube HDTV's actually give you a better more illuminated picture but people are being suckered into buying Flat screens because they are nicer.
I have to agree because my old Tube monitor has a brighter crisper picture than my Flat screen which has a bit better picture just more muted. |

The 20G did end up having an HDMI port by launch. |

Ah, enough complaints actually did put it in, then. I was unaware. Previous remarks about DRM schemes that interfere with already-established precedents of use still apply. |
