Bioshock demo is up!

Saw the news on SG and seeing how this could easily be one of the best games available this year, thought it was necessary it was to give notice.

I would love to give you my impressions, but sadly, it is only 1% right now, but those who have downloaded it said it is absolutely amazing. It might be a little too popular right now....

Definetly, annoying the demo took me 12 hours to download, but hey, it was worth the wait!

I'm getting all of my thoughts down now for bitparade, will post properly later, although I'll only post a snippet here and then link to the whole article in order to give people the choice of potentially spoiling the final game/demo for themselves.

I got lucky on that since I started downloading the game at 1:30 AM. Maybe not many people are downloading at that time?

All I can say is...it is going to be a VERY LONG week until this game comes out.

i need to go set up a computer that will run it, since i don't have a 360.

anyhow, i played the game on a friends system, and i peed a little bit in my pants.

the physics are pretty sweet, and it looks like they spent a LOT of time getting the water working the way they wanted it.

the only thing i'm hoping (and would be surprised if they didn't do) would be to expand the intro a little bit. it's sort of clipped, and i think that might be because they wanted to get you into the action faster. still... CREEPY.

you notice how your weapons leave marks? like if you wrench a dude, he'll have a wound there, or if you fry him he'll be all crispy. FREAKISH. this game is going to haunt my dreams for quite a while to come.

i'll add that i think it might be creepier finding yourself in a world that just went horribly awry in the last year, instead of something like fallout, where the world ended at some unidentifiable point in the past.

Senkir, the developer's have said they've tried to cut out any element of plot from the demo, you also have more access to the plasmids and weapons than you would at the point in the game.

I've played it twice now, the only demo I've done that with was Eternal Sonata!

I've played this 4 times now, and each time I've found something different.

Possible spoilers:

On your way into Rapture when your in the Ocean in the Biosphere thing, nefore you see the giant whale, look up and right and you should see aload of sparks inside a tube............and the silhuoette of a Big Daddy

In the restuarent, right at the back before you turn into the toilets, if you're quick you see a Little Sister peering out of a hole.

Half way down the staircase after you've been spotted by the security camera and those little robots come after you, theres a Big Daddy laying propped up against the wall.

I got to play it a little bit yesterday, but the crappy ass rechargeable batteries for the 360 controllers crapped out on me in the middle. I have no idea what the hell is going on with those things, but I'll post another topic about that.

Going to hook up my new TV today, then try again.
