I've been going to a place for a couple of months now that I think serves the best Chinese food I've ever had in Atlanta. It is out in Marietta in the plaza right at the intersection of 120 and Franklin Road. It is called Tasty China.

They specialize in Schezewan style cooking, and most of their food is spicy. Also, they have seperate menus for American and Schezewan style Chinese.

The best "Chinese" food I've ever had was from this place run by an older asian bhuddo-christian couple that serve only vegetarian food. It's not cheap; it runs about $10-15 a person, but it's sooooooo good.

As far as I'm concerned, all Chinese food pretty much tastes the same, plus or minus some grease.

Chinese food has varying degrees of quality like other resturant types have varying degrees of quality. I mean there are worlds of difference between Longhorns < Ruth Chris < Fago de Chao or Chilis < TGIF < 5 Seasons

I remember for a long time being irked that I couldn't find a decent fish place in Atlanta till I found McCormicks, Checkeurs (not the fast food), and Atlanta Fish Market.

Then again, I'm extremely picky about the quality of food. =D

You think Friday's is better than 5 seasons?
Wow. Friday's sucks in my opinion. High prices, bad service, sub par food.

Anyway... I have a new favorite Chinese place.

It's called Mushu cafe.

They let you make your own dish. They give you a bowl, you go and grab your own veggies... tell them what kind of meat, rice or noodles, and sauce you want... and they cook it all up in a Wok for you.

Good stuff.

Hahaha.
I'm so used to seeing it go left to right, best to worst, I didn't even pay attention to the sign.

But even still. Friday's better than Longhorns.

I will never got to Friday's again.
They are on the suck list with Olive Garden!

There's a couple places like that popping up around Atlanta now (at least whenever I make it down there). Another one called Wok in Wok out is pretty yummy. They also have karaoke on Friday nights. Very Happy Le awesome.

In regards to Chinese food, I've never found a Chinese food place that did great vegetarian entrees (I felt they always duped me a little) besides the fusion P. F. Chang's. I adore P. F. Chang's for the way they make their silken tofu. It's all crispy and stuff....I think the dish is called Vegetarian Ma Po Tofu. But it's amazing, regardless.

I much prefer Thai, Viet, Indian, Jap (I found a place that does a great vege bento box), and Korean foods when looking for a meal. And Greek, but that's kinda separate from the whole Asia deal. I love food.

Mod, I'm hungry.

I enjoy Thai and Indian food a lot, but I haven't found a good Viet place in Atlanta. I haven't tried the vegetarian entrees at the Chinese place I mentioned, but next time I'm there I'll give either the tofu & baby bamboo or eggplant stirfry a try, and let you know how it is.

Oh and Shino that sounds a lot Japanese Heibachi which does rock!

Not a fan of P.F.Changs... When I order Kung Pow Chicken... I expect there to be veggies. Not just chicken and peanuts.

I still go, but when I do, I make them put a bunch of veggies in there for me.
