Rain-X and the Laptop

So there was this bottle of Rain-X glass cleaner in the den. I went downstairs yesterday to make some food for the sprogling and I, and when I came back up, he had gotten to where the bottle was, and about a third of it was in my laptop. None was on him, thankfully. I have yet to figure out how he accomplished this. It has since been moved even further out of reach than I had thought it was before.

I didn't realize that it was the actual waterrepellanting Rain-X window cleaner until I was trying to figure out why the touch pad felt funny.


Does anyone know how to get the Rain-X film out of the monitor portion of my laptop? I've cleaned the screen, but it appears that some of the solution managed to make it into the monitor itself (which would explain why for a while yesterday the monitor portion wouldn't come on at all) because it looks like there's liquid in it but it hasn't changed in 18 hours.

umm...aside from getting a new monitor, I would maybe try calling tech support and see what they suggest. Otherwise, i know that the screen is sensitive, and if stuff is inside, it may be there for a while.

But i've never had this problem occur to myself, so I would suggest trying to call a specialist or tech support about the problem, unless someone around here has had the same problem.
