I'm planning on borrowing my Dad's 8" Celestron and a really nice camera, and take some pictures of the Moon during the eclipse. Saturn should be right next to it so hopefully I can pull a nice picture of Saturn next to the blood red moon.
I'm either going to setup on the roof of the building I work at (very tall building), or the skyscraper across the street, or if there is to much light pollution, I'm going to be heading to mountains to get some good shots. If anyone wants to join me they are welcome to come. I'll post some of the pictures here, and if any artistically inclined people want to get the super high detail ones, I'll setup a FTP. |

It starts at 8, and it goes to a total eclipse at about 10. It looks like it will be a clear night, so I can get some good photos. |
