That's right! It's that one day of the year where we actually recognize all that Mother Earth has done for us! I am, of course, wearing my (brand new) t-shirt made from recycled coca-cola bottles (I have no idea how it's done, but it's really really cool) to celebrate!

What Shandriz is talking about is WalMart (evil corporation gone green, YAY!) created a new cute t-shirt that is made of recycled materials and actually the only thing on the shirt that is made of the recycled bottles is the logo, but every little bit helps!! |

Yay! It's the day for all Earth-Elementals to Celebrate! Thank you for remembering Shan! Do something good for the environment today!
However, I must also point out, Earth Day isn't just one day a year, it's every day! Remember the impact that you're making on Mother Earth. Conserve Water, Reduce your Carbon Footprint, Be Consious of your decisions, they all make a difference. I myself am FINALLY getting my bike back and I'll be biking to work! Very exciting!

Save the Trees! ^_^ It's so easy, too, to make a difference. There are a lot of things you can do that won't even impact your daily life much. Using the now-popular re-usable bags for groceries, replacing light bulbs, buying organic (which is getting cheaper!) and stuff. You don't have to inconvenience yourself to help out the world! |

Seriously though, I think there should be an "Earth Day" in every month to constantly bring to the fore front the importance of protecting the planet more than just once a year. |

Actually I found out something! A Wisconsin Senator, *ahem* Gaylord Nelson announced that in the spring of 1970 there would be a nationwide grassroots demonstration on the environment.
He actually died not too long ago. He was intrumental in getting Earth Day started and we shall continue it! |
