I've finally made it to the place that's the farthest away from anythning cool that you could possibly be. Afghanistan is truly the butthole of the world. There's nothing here but dirt and rocks. Not even the poppies grow here. On the up side, the air is clean (because there's not a city for over 100 miles) and the view is spectacular. I'm literally surrounded by over 20,000 ft tall mountains. That part is pretty cool. The rest of it sucks though. What I want to know is how come the internet at my house suck but I can get internet here on what could easily be mistaken as the surface of the moon!
All in all I'm well, I'm gonna miss out on AWA again!
I swear, by Grapthar's Hammer, I will make it to AWA one day!!!
Anywho, I'll try to post some piccies and drop in from time to time to give ya'll the inside scoop on the crappiest place on earth. And no, I don't mean Austell. |

Is there a bunch of footprints, a landing craft, a plaque and a US flag anywhere nearby?

Hopefully I'll only be here about six or seven months. Of course they never tell us when we're going back it just sort of happens one day. But I've done two years in Iraq so this isn't too bad.
