I've been getting into making jewelry lately as a kind of hobby. I've made some pretty cool stuff and have gotten some nice compliments to where my future MiL sent me a website where I could possibly sell some of what I've made...I'm considering it, but feel a bit out-classed by the site.

I found what materials work best for me and methods that work...but the problem is that they work for ME...

Is there anyone else out there in the PO world that either does or used to make jewelry? I could benefit from some good basic resources...plus I'm starving for some new ideas too....And materials! I get stuck not being able to make something that I see in a magazine due to lack of materials.

I'll post some pics of what I've done later in the artists thread once I take them. I prefer using natural gemstones...like beads and random pieces.

I've been interested in jewelry making and aside from some slick sculpy apple turnover earrings I made I haven't really gotten into it.

Cheshire I believe was making jewelry for a while.

I make some jewelry every now and again. ^_^ What kind are you thinking about doing metal work / beading/ clay?

I mainly stick with gemstones with an occasional bit of chainmaille when the mood and patience hits me. I'm not too great at incorporating the two though.

What I really lack are resources like places to go for materials and for inspiration.
