Server Switch Tonight - So the board may be down

Hey everyone. We are switching the site over to the new server tonight. This will bring the board down for a while. but it will be worth it. Promise you that much.

I expect to do the change around midnight eastern tonight, so expect the board to be down then. The site will still be up, but the board will be inaccessable. This is necessary to make sure we get all of the information on the board switched over without a post gap.

Major improvements with the new server.

1) Faster... much faster
2) Login problem is fixed. You should be able to come back to the site and not have to login again... in a given period of time. I may have to increase the active session time
3) Search is fixed
4) New Post link is fixed
5) Now using mySQL. This means better reliablity of the DB and we can get a really good chat client now insted of using the crappy one we have on here now.

That's just the start.

Please note: not everything may be exactly like you remember it when the new server comes into play. When the new server is up, I will reply to this topic saying it is up. If you see anything different after the switch is complete please PM me or just reply here to tell me so.
