Naruto: Narultimate hero (PS2)

While in Tokyo I saw this game running and had to pick it up. I'd described it as a Power Stone/ Smash Bros fusion and a very well done one at that.

Sporting a cell shaded look and a comic book style presentation, Naruto looks VERY nice.





Of course there are super moves, which when successfully used are a shown as full screen animated sequences. Very cool stuff.

It plays 2D with multiple planes/levels. Button layout is simple; attack, jump, shuriken, and power-up. You can find and be given items from teammates to boost stats and use against your opponent.

Single player is good with a well done story mode, 6 characters to unlock and over 700 goodies, but multiplayer is where Naruto shines.

Unfortunately odds are that this game will never be released here, but I highly recommended importing this game.
