Can anyone tell me some HTML to put a shadow or an outline around my text?

I don't think there is a way to do that in HTML.

You would need to have a font that had a shadow or outline on it. And any computer that viewed your text would also have to have that font.

also, java might be what you need.

from what I've seen, doing a little javascript is really nothing difficult at all... little more typing than actual html code itself. Just another avenue you should look at... i really have heard that it's not that hard. And I think I've seen it done before, like on Neopets, people do it all the time (but on there, its a built-in function of the chat) You could perhaps look at their sorce even to find out how it's done.
