Ok ok I know what you are thinking. A Disney movie, Doot?
Oh and what I have to say to you is Oh YES! What an absolutely FUN movie! And there are a good handful of cameos that are so fun! Like an old friend coming back after being gone for so long. Follow Phileas Fogg and "Passepartout" as they try to beat a wager that they can make it around the world, you guessed it, in 80 days.
Based on the classic novel by Jules Verne, Around the World in 80 Days (2003) stars Jackie Chan as Passepartout. As an adventurer, Passepartout ends up accompanying time-obsessed English gentleman, Phileas Fogg (played by Steve Coogan). Along the way, they encounter many interesting 19th Century figures.
I LOVE this kind of film really. It was non-stop laughs, great martial arts, splendid scenery. Just gave me an all over fun feel. I highly reccommend this movie to anyone who wants to watch a well-paced, good humor film. Keep your eyes peeled for an old friend of Jackie's to show up. I gotta tell you I was giddy when he showed up! |
