Beaches

I know most people like sunny, sandy beaches, but people overlook the wonders of a colder, rocky beach like Oregon or Northern California has. You have to dress a bit warmer, but you do not have to deal with the crowds, and such beaches are a perfect place to get away. If you like to read, they are fantastic. You can totally loose yourself in the book on such a beach. Going to a beach like that at night is even more amazing, I think.

People should really look at the less popular beaches like that.

I have a hard time getting anything but swimmign accomlished at a beach. I cant seem to focus on anything else.

See, that is the problem with people. They get too tied up in a single idea. No offense, I do it to.

Do not get me wrong, I LOVE swimming, but I also like just taking time alone for myself. You would not want to go swimming at a cold beach, anyway, would you? LOL. Besides, some of them have very nasty jellyfish like Portugese Man-O-War in hte water.

Yeah, what the hell is a shoobie? But I do agree that the beach DOES attract morons...I guess that's one of the reasons why I have never liked the beach that much, although I'm starting to like them more. Actually, I think what I really like is the tropical environment.

I live on the Long Island Sound, which is sorta a part of the Atlantic. It's cool when you're younger, but once you get older, you realize that the water is really nasty. Swimming in the sound is probably what gave me skin problems.

That and I'm a bit chuby, so going to the beach only depresses me. I love the Rockies (I miss home!) BUt it'll be nice in Canadia too.

I like swimming probable more than most people. But I really dont enjoy swimming that much unless it is in a pool. I like to be able to see where I am going and not have to wory about anything biting me, stinging me, or swallowing me whole.

I actually have a little spot out in our local state park that runs into Lake Texoma. There is a spot down by the water that is kinda outa the way. It is on a cliff that hangs about 30 feet above the water. It is kinda like my little quite place. All you can really hear is the waves hitting the side of the cliff. It is very peacful.

i like the beach, but mostly for the view. i dont have a problem swimming in it, but much like faye, i prefer to swim in a pool. I dont know...but i just do Very Happy

Anyways...i like sitting on a beach, just relaxing, but im not really into the whole tanning thing, like most people go to the beach for. I would prefer just to sit there and read or something. And then people constantly bug me as to why im not there trying to tan...well........I DONT WANNA!!!!!! *explodes*

Aside from that, i dont have a problem with the beach

Ocean Beach = waves = body surfing = better than the other kinds of beach.
