I honestly think that these were some of the most challenging, inventive RPGs ever made. The characters were a really colorful, flavorful bunch and you really get swept up in making good or evil choices. Did anyone else get into Fallout, Fallout 2, or Fallout: Tactics? |

All the good ones were PC games. There is an incarnation on the PS2, but it's about as good as ET for the Atari 2600. They were damn awesome games. There's alot of gun combat, but you can use melee weapons if you choose, and have strong armor. It's set after that nuclear holocuast we've all been waiting for finally happens and civilization begins anew. You play one of the privileged few who could afford to seek refuge in an underground shelter (read Vault), and when your vault's water purification system crashes, you are the lucky one who gets to venture into the outside and find out how to fix it.
Fallout 2 has you behind the wheel of a descendant of the character from the first Fallout. You live in the village he founded and it's been so long since I played it, I forget where the plot goes on that one.
They're awesome games and they are circa '97 and '98-'99, so they're extremely cheap.
Fallout 3 is being developed by Bethesda (Elder Scrolls). So that might be pretty cool, if they do it justice. |

Brother Hood of steel sucked balls.
But kobrakai is totally right. The first 2 rpg's were some of the best I have ever played.
I especially liked the skill system they used, with those fifty style comic guy shooting people to death and what not.
I would HIGHLY recommend these games. Especially since you can pick them up for around 8 dollars at Wal-Mart if memory serves. |

Unfortunately, all I was ever able to find were pirated versions that don't play so well. After hearing so much on this game series, I wish I was able to find them, but what I can play of the pirated versions (before the video gets all messed up or the game crashes) I did really enjoy.
Though I also enjoyed Brotherhood of the Steel. Kinda falls under the Bloodrayne catergory of games that I know are not really that good, yet I still enjoy playing. |

BOS was give or take. If you really got a chance to play the Fallout and Fallout 2 games, you'd probably change your mind. Go to a place like EB Games or some other game retailer that takes used games and see if you can't find anything there. |

If any of you are interested I found some fallout stuff on ebay. Fallout 1&2 bundles sealed for around $10. Just search for "fallout". |

Yeah the ending is pretty sweet, the second time through is soooo easy. Just b-line to the brotherhood of steel and get joo somepower armor and you are set.
But you are killing me Kobra, I want to replay fallout so bad right now but I have absoluty no idea where my cd's are  |
