I dunno if people even remember the words these days considering all the stuff out there. Though do we still have any old school game fans out there. I still try to have some rounds of my faves, Risk, Stratego, Trivial pursuit and all those classics. Heck go even farther and I still love a good game of chess too. |

Life was cool..But when you lost then that means you "Lost the game of life." and then you are sad..*cries*
The problem with board games are the rules. Moustrap never finishes completing the construction and Monopoly never ends because you can mortgage off yer properties and get loans from the bank even though you filed for bankruptcy like 50 times.
They need simple games like, "Roll the dice. Take that many shots. See if you can compitently make it to the end without passing out or misscounting jumps so badly that the other drunks take notice." |

Diplomacy, it just might be the best board game ever. Period.
Beyond that, look for the game "Puetro Rico" as that game has a longevity to it. I played it every weekend for about a year and it never once got old |

Careers. Great game, and with more fun and strategy than Monopoly. Plus, you can actually see the end of it.
Monopoly. Grand classic. Unfortunately, I've only played it with little kids so far, and the game always ended up with the kids just picking off the bank and giving each other money and start throwing houses and hotels and dices at each other. I wanna see a big 8-player party.  With the full rules too! The auctions, the FREE free parking and all! |
