All right. Here's the thing. I'm a Furuba nut, and I thought I'd see how many of you have experienced this most wonderful Anime as well. I know Revvybear has, and I've forced teh Musashi into watching it as well. I just need to know who else has to make the hitlist. xD.
Watch it. I'm serious-- I have yet to meet someone who's seen Fruits Basket and doesn't at least like it. Not everyone's as nuts about it as I am, but nobody has called it a waste of time.
It's funny and cute, but it has a real plotline as well, and some dark undertones throughout. The characters are amazingly fun, and well-developed, and the music is beautiful. There's nothing to -not- like about the series, really.
And believe me, if you live in my general area, you're gonna be forced to watch it eventually (yes, I mean you Shino-sama) |

Also of note, this is one of the rare animes where the dub is par-excellence. You will actually miss nothing, and perhaps get a better experience, by watching the dub rather than the sub!
Oh, and Hatsuharu-san is my absolute favorite character in Furuba! |

I started watching it before it even came out in the US and simply adored it, so when it did come out, I made Excel buy the first DVD. We then got the 2nd DVD and have not been able to afford the rest. *Pouts* I love my Kyo plushie! He is in his cat form, and he is glaring. I call it the "Kyo Glare of Death". LOL. |

I've never seen it but I have heard a lot of good things about it. I'm interested, but I rarely have time to watch t3h anime anymore  I'll see if i can rent the first disc one of these weekends and see what all the fuss is about. |
