Thats the most disturbing thing Ive seen in a LOOONG time video game wise. There are lines in Video games, GTA isnt one but a game about the JFK Assassination is. |

Personally I find it in bad taste, that’s about it.
Now I will play devil's advocate.
It is meant to be educational. And primarily a reconstruction so people can see first had what really happened.

I agree. It's really bad taste. It's kind of an insult really.
I have to question whether the people who paid 10 dollars to download it really used it as a learning experience. |

Why not? I imagine their reasoning behind it really is to educate. No one in their right mind would do this for simply profit. I, for one, am not against this game. Don't get me wrong, I'm not for it either. But think of it, why should something that appears to be made for the purpose of bringing a sort of understanding to a horrible incident be shunned? This game doesn't appear to have been made for the sole purpose of bringing controversy. It's truly mysterious how a game like GTA, whose sole purpose is to bring about the dark side of a person, is accepted, yet a game which tries to tell a story, tries to make you understand, is so easily rejected just for the fact that it depicts the death of great man. How do you think Japanese gamers felt when Rising Sun was released? In the game, the men who braved their lives for their country (not that I support what Japan did, just trying to put things into perspective) were killed and seen as horrible people who acted like savages were killed by the true hero, the righteous, the American. Yet, the game sold surprisingly well. Why? Because of its supposed accurate depiction of the war. So, if JFK Reloaded manages to create an accurate depiction of the events of that day, help to bring a better understanding of what happened, and backs up itself up with great gameplay, why shouldn't we accept it? |

You are obviously not old enough to understand the corruption of capitalism, because there are people who would do this for profit, and far worse.
And I will tell you why it is in bad taste. Yes in Rising Sun you kill Japanese but that is different. GTA since it is based on America you could say you were killing Americans. People don't tend to get worked up over things when it’s just randomly generated bots.
But this game is different. In this game you take on the role of murdering, one, specific, real person. That is different. Think about his relatives like Ted Kennedy, JFK was his brother, now there is a video game in which you shot his brother. Think about how you would feel if your brother or your mother was murdered. And then some one made a game about it
That is why it is in incredibly bad taste. I think it was made with good intentions though. Though my dad told me once that "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" |
