I hate to say this. But the Scanner DID dull the colour quite a bit, no amount of level tweaking was sucessfull in bringing back the original hue. And my scanner also didn't pick up some of the more subtle strokes of the pencil.. plus the paper is a bit bigger than my scanner... ya, excuses excuses.

I also realize my Derwent pencils are quite a bit waxier than bro's prisma colour. But the mixing of the two ended up with a very interesting texture.

It's the first time in a while that I did anything on paper. Love to hear what you have to say!

The picture itself is very pretty, and it looks very nice. I really like the effect you used to create the water. However, the subject seems a bit off. Belugas are usually slimmer in build, and the head bulges up, not down. The colour could be due to the light reflecting off the water and the whale, of course, so that does not seem odd (unless you were not trying for a reflected look...then it should be more white).

Ya. After I actually finished the whale itself I realized the proportion was a little off. But by that time I didn't really wanna start over.

I had photo reference, too. Blame my non-referring to said photo regularly.
