This has nothing to do with the AFL (who will get a stripped down version of the Madden 2000 engine) and everything to do with totally monopolizing the professional football licenses. The good thing is that by getting this, EA may have made any case against them stronger. Let's hope someone's got the balls (and deep enough pockets) to challenge them.
I would like to see a USFL game tho (Bobby Hebert's Panthers vs Jim Kelly's Gamblers!) |

Its not about the monopolies its about the fact theres no competition to make a better game in those areas now.
Imagine if there was no AMD driving intel to make better faster chips, we'd still be stuck at 1.333ghz |

There never was any competition in that area anyway.. Any game that i have ever played that was a football game was made by EA.. Why because the others just plained sucked. Which again is why they didn't sell as well and didn't make the cash and couldn't put up the shizznit to get the rights. |

1. I dont bug you to play it...
2.. NFL Blitz is not a foot ball game.. Its an arcade game
FYI.. Football game = 15min quarters with penalties and actual playing not running back as far as possible then lobbing the ball up for 80 hoping one of the flashy guys dont catch you before you run into the endzone. |

Hoth sorta has a point there but yeah if HS football does come out...we totally gotta get my school in there...we sucked...
anyway I kinda feel split on this...I never was much into sports games until Xbox arrived and now I have NCAA 2004....nice game I think but i wondered why they put a new version every year when nothing seems to really change?

well anyway I am gonna go play EA sports Ice Capades 2005  |
