I'm pretty much ending my relationship with my current gf. I don't want to put her or me through the pain of a long distance relationship, we'll both move on. I've also felt the stinging touch of a forbidden love. One of my closest friends is getting married, and I have very strong feelings for her. We've known each other for a few solid years, and she's the closest thing I've had to a true love. She tells me she loves me all the time, but it hurts so bad in my heart, because it's not the kind of love I need. I accept it gatefully though, becaue I know she can't give me that kind of love, so I give her the same in return. It's worked out pretty well until lately, now that I have orders. Everytime she says "You can't go to Canada" it breaks my heart. I'm really in emotional distress at the moment. I just needed to ge this of my chest. I'm not looking so much for advice, I just need a fucking hug.

I really feel for you man. I truely do.
Just remember, the human heart is quite a lot stronger than you think it might be. It aches now, and well, it prolly will ache for quite a while... but, it will heal in time.

that sucks....I sortof know what you're going through. When I left for basic and tech school it was sort of like that but I wn't lie...it definately isn't all the same. So good luck and I hope something fills that void.

I guess I can be a drunk rambler at times. It's pretty much all true still, but I was feeling VERY vulnerable last night. I appreciate the hugs, and I do feel better (sleep tends to help heal wounds)
