(NOTE: get ready...i havent had much sleep, im actually grumpy, i had to close last night, and open today, and work was HELLA TOUGH!)
Only in westport: will you come at opening to a cafe, and ask for a cup of coffee, and drop a $100 bill and expect change.
Only in westport: will you come into my cafe, which makes starbucks drinks, and ask if we make decaf
Only in westport: will you have pictures of Frappachinos plastered everywhere on the walls, and people still come up and say: "What exactly is a frappachino like?"
Only in westport: will you find someone who wants you to put a cup of tea on the other counter, so its CLOSER to their table.
Only in westport: will you be asked to make two hot chocolates...one of which must be made cold
Only in westport: will it be blizzarding, and people are still waltzing in, despite the fact that they are sliding all around the parking lot, to come into barnes and nobles, as to sit down in the middle of a blizzard, grab a cup of coffee, and waste my time.
Only in westport: will they ask "Why?" after i tell them we dont accept starbucks cards in our cafe, and when i explain that we are not corporate partnerrs, they just look cockeyed and say: "That doesnt make sense."
Only in westport: will someone try to open the doors to the store, find them locked, and when i tell them its closed, and there is SNOW EVERYWHERE!!! they still ask: "Why?"
Only in westport: will they knock a porcelain fixture over, and when it breaks, go: "Well...that obviously wasn't the best place to put that now, was it?"
Only in westport: will they wait at 8:30 for Barnes and Nobles to open...at the door...in the cold...so as for the fact that they can be the first to get up to the cafe at 9 sharp.
Only in westport: will they drive me to the breaking point of insanity.
Ok guys...i needed to get that off my chest. The past couple of days, haven't slept all that great, and after my midnight close last night, my 8 oclock opening today, and our early 4 oclock close (Which i had to close at because my 8 hour shift went on till 4 anyways) I'm not the happiest camper anymore. For those of you on PO...you people probably have NEVER seen me get upset to this point. In fact, I'm not even at that full anger capacity yet...this is just me tapping into a bit of it. When i do get angry...it usually involves tables flipping, car batteries getting drained, and walls being broken with kneecaps.
Now, above is only the westporters and their interaction with Barnes and Nobles...my area of employment. If i were to continue this list into everything the town interacts with, i think i may actually get this to be several pages long. Alas, now I'm starting to calm down, and maybe make this into more of a joke, rather than an aggresive post that is meant to cool me down from my "beginning to seer" rage.
I mean...cummon! There's already 5 inches of snow on the ground...and your stopping in anyways for a latte? Dude...you should really go home and take a loadoff...not just because its bad weather out...but because of safty reasons. Ive seen these people drive from around here, and they resemble the fabled Mass-hole (Or otherwise known as the massachusets driver), and one thing i dont want is a westport driver flying down The Post Road at 40 when there is several inches of powdery-slippiness on the ground. I know that it's my job to make drinks for people whatever the weather, but still! Its a blizzard condition up here in the tri-state area! And being out of the house is the last thing you should really be doing!
~Ok...im back to normal now
That is all |

you forget about the concentration of stupidity that lies in Westport alone.
It has been proven that approximately 75% of all stupidity comes from that town |

you guys are special because you have educated stupidity.
and as for them charging down the post road at breakneck speeds, they don't care because for most of them, putting down 50 grand for a new mercedes after they flip their old one is hardly a drop in the bucket. CT is a glorious place *rolls eyes*
by the way, do you agree with me that massholes are THE worst drivers in the nation?

I dunno. Have you ever driven in Florida? Not only are they bad drivers, but they're aggressive as hell.
Not saying anything in the defense of the Masshole though... |

As a texan, I cant verify enough that the absolute worst drivers per capita come out of Oklahoma. Perhaps Westpoint is an eastern annex of Oklahoma? In any case I used to work with the public and everyone of thier bleepity bleep bleepin bleeps make me wanna bleep them senseless. I hate people. But I PO!
>_>
For now.
P.S. The one about the porcilene figuring had me rolling. I can totally see some customer doing that, saying that, and being 100% serious. |
