Well I dunno why but I never talked about this. But I just got out of the Sony site about Boogeyman...looks interesting
I will go with my top three
1. Halloween I (1978)
What started it all for me. Micheal Meyers is just the greatest evil character ever. Zombie like, demonic, and a nice typical 80's story behind him. Plus it took place in Smith's Grove Illinois....even though it doesn't exist it's cool.
2. The Grudge
You know I heard alot of people didn't like this. I thought it was awesome! It was Japanese done and done well. I think alot of folks didn't like it cuz the Japanese like to set up alot and pay very good attention to the characters but it still freaked me out man!
3. The Shining (1980)
First off, Nicholson is a great psychotic. Second, why did the directors have to pick my name for those little dead girls to call out???
Now a quick commentary about horror films today. I've noticed it is so much harder to scare people nowadays. I like to be terrorized by a good movie like those I mentioned. I've been called wimpy by some of the younger generation but it doesn't bother me. I like the fact that I am capable of being scared. And to those new directors who can find a way to scare people with movies. Big BIG kudos to you!
Now you're turn!
Oh and here's some horror smilies cuz I am an idiot

I've always liked the Phantasm movies for some reason or another. My and my friend Brandon rented the first one once from a video store. We got hooked and are freaks about all four movies. They're hilarious ^^ and I jumped a few times at the wierd ewok things. (For those who don't remember, Phantasm was that movie with the crazy metallic balls with knifes and drills and stuff)
I like the remake of the original Night of the Living Dead. Had nightmares for years. :O. Saw it when i was real young and i seriously had a zombie nightmare like every night lol. I liked the original and remake Dawn of the Dead. Looking forward to Romero's new movie Land of the Dead.
Evil Dead. Not exactly horror but hey, Ash rules. |

Bleah! Zombies are scary!
I loved the Grudge. It scared me a lot more than the typical jump out and "boo" movies. |

Well that's the whole point
I haven't seen a lot of modern horror movies like The Grudge, The Ring (though i DID see Ringu). Honestly they just arent appealing to me. :/ |

I saw a scary one recently called Darkness Falls, I would not be surprised if it were a remake of an Aisian film. |

Top 3 is easy.
1. Nightmare on Elm Street
2. Friday the 13th
3. Halloween
Any other booger movies pale in comparison with the slasher flicks of the 80's. They have rampant humor and scenes that make you go...Eww? |
