The UNofficial PO aRPG FAQ - A lesson in Pokedom

First off Shino or whoever, feel free to move this to the PO Updates area. I didn't have permission to post it there.

Well I did do a small baby FAQ in another thread but I forget which one. Newbies should check the original aRPG thread to learn the history of PO Poking.

Basically you have your HP (current/Max), your EXP (current/40 with 40 being how much it takes to reach the next level), and the three Icons (Attack, Defend, Heal).
Each time you post you gain a random amount of EXP and the ability to Attack (using the first icon) three times (we call them "pokes" and they work like this)

This will cause the victim to lose a random amount of HP. Shino gave a formula but I don't think it was accurate. I've done from 1 to 16 points in pokes. Just poked Silver Adept for 3HP.

The second icon is for Defending. This will put you in Defense mode and I guess it protects from pokes. Haven't seen it work yet tho.

The last icon is to heal. Healing will reduce your EXP by a small amount and return you to full HP.

Now WHERE you click is what counts. To attack someone you must click on THEIR Attack Icon. If you click your own, you attack yourself (that can be painful). You can also Heal someone else by clicking their Heal icon (but why would you want to do that?). Again, this costs EXP.

You also have a small number next to your Icons. That number indicates how many times you've been poked.

Now for HP. You have your Max to the right and your current amount on the left of the slash. There is no penalty for "dying" as far as I know but so far that exclusive club has gotten it's first two members (AzVegeta and BWS-1...whose name is sooo accurate as he was taken to -1 HP in that bloody murder).

The last thing is more of an "Honor among thieves" thing. There is no way (as of this post) to tell who poked you how many times and when so when you poke you *should* say it somewhere...like this!

I was responsible for the attacks on Sperrit, but only because the two of us could lock ourselves into a spiraling vortex of death that would end us all. Oh, and I'm going to pin this for people too

Ah... this was definitely something that I was looking for. Why not make this a bit more permanent and put a copy of it on the Rookie board?
