Man I hate to see things like this happen.
http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/01/26/news_6117154.html
Basicly, they are saying that the sales of DS games are not nearly as high as expected due to the fact that people are just playing GBA games and Pictochat. Not to mention some games are 2 player with only one cart. Another help to bring down Nintendo profits.
Well I hope they get a move on soon. |

When games like Viewtiful Joe and Castlevania come out I see sales going up fast. |

Im not too surprised. The only worthwhile DS games out are Feel the Magic and Super Mario. That's really it atm. Feb. I think some good games are supposed to come out. |

That is what Nintendo deserves for trying to do what Sega did several years back... what? A new system for no reason every few years when they can still get something useful out of the current system or worse... which I think is a cardinal SIN... changing its shape for no bloody reason and then bending us over a barrel to go buy it because it has got a couple new features over the old model but beyond that... is identical. If Nintendo keeps doing this... I would rather see them go the way of Sega and just give up being a hardware company and stick to doing something they are only moderately good at... making games.
Well... that is just the two cents of a jaded gamer who is tired of poorly laid out controllers and other goofy gadgets that don't do more than just give an excuse to sell 'name brand' replacement stylus... when will this crazy nature stop?
Again... sorry if I sound a bit jaded... |

They really need to pick up the pace and release all the games the have in queue. I got a list printed out of all the games confirmed coming out for the DS this year from EB, and there are 20 games on it spread out though the year. |

well Khymerion, I kindof agree with you.
I think the SP should have been what the GBA was originally released as.
The DS is their jump to the next Gen in hand held. I think mainly b/c of the PSP.
It will be interesting. We will see where things go. |

I think they should have held off on releasing the DS till they had a bucket of software for it instead of just 6 titles |

i thought the line up was pretty small, and out of the line up i was only really interested in mario 64 DS, but then its a remake of a game you can pick up for around £5. yes i know its got added features and all that, but i wont be buying it when i eventually get a DS, ill stick to my N64 version thank you very much, maybe when theres Mario Kart and a NEW mario released i might be alot more interested |

I say, give it time.
One the game developers catch on to the newness of the DS and start putting out good games for the system, the DS is probably gonna stay on par with the PSP. Just keep two things in mind...
1. The SNES was behind the Genesis when it first came out, and eventually became the king of the heap.
2. Nintendo has ruled the portable market since the days of the Game and Watch.
And personally, I'm waiting for Megaman Battle Netwrok DS |
