Recently, it has become the popular opinion that I abuse those who I debate. You can add my ex-girlfriend to that list. She said something along the lines of, "You argue with me like you argue with your mother. You bully people so they'll back down." Just thought I'd share.
p.s. It was amongst the list of why we recently broke up

A lot of people are jerks in "debates". The thing is to know that "winning" is empty and meaningless. It's the internet and everyone has an opinion. No matter how much you argue and debate people are going to have a specific opinion. There isn't going to be a magic moment where the person realizes where they're wrong because they have a different opinion. It's just the way people are. |
