PSP Sold out??

One million units are being sent to the US for its release date.... they are all arlready acounted for in pre-orders. You'd think Sony would have learned after the PS2 release. I haven't checked the internet for an official report, but according to the Assistant manager of our local Gamestop, who happens to be a good friend of mine, the message was sent out yesterday. So if you guys plan on Pre-ordering the PSP you had better hurry. It probably wont be long until the second shipment is spoken for too.

I think Sony is Doing the right thing.

By being sold-out on release they are going to get a report on the news like I-Pod did at Christmas stating everyone is sold out.

Think about it, every news station in the country running free advertising for the PSP and about 3 days later Sony releases about 4 million more. People seeing the PSP in stores and remembering the news report will be more inclined to purchase it.

Sony = Brilliant!

Nerver thought about it like that Gaaz.... But you are absolutly right. no matter how annoying it seems. Well I put 75 bucks in credit down on mine and gonna be paying on it until it releases. I just need to decide what game I want on release..... so many choices.

Not all places will be sold out. There are many places that will get it and not take preorders. Target, Walmart, that sort of thing. You will be able to get it if you look. There are so many people upset about the 250 value pack thing that I have a feeling it will be more available than most people realize.

For an extra 50 bucks??? Yeah I know 50 bucks is a lot of money but considering what you are getting and how much you are already paying.... I think it's totally worth it. And the majority of the Sony fans will pay the extra without a second thought.
