I'm hoping one of our Air Force guys will fill me in on this quick.
Today in the Dallas Morning News was an article on Airmen being retrained to be convoy escorts with the Army. I would really like to know how they choose these individuals because as far as I know...there is no job in the Airforce that is quite like this.
Also...you sign a contract stating you will do a certain job as long as you are able...if you are not the Airforce will 'recycle' you into a job that they need.
So...if they are just pulling people out of their jobs...wouldn't that be a breach of contract and border on a 'backdoor draft' for more ground troops? |

Well all I know is a lady I was talking with in my class was married to an air force guy. She told me that he was a convoy escort and kept months past his release. |

My friend volunteered for convoy escort and he was chosen. Security forces is eligible to do convoy movements. They do em up here in ND all the time and get sent ou to certain bases and can do em there too.
As far as 'recycling' you into a job they need, usually they will give you a choice if it's a PRP job. You can either move where they want you, or leave the Air Force. But do remember one thing, he Air Force, within reason, can do whatever they want with you and military members are never eligible to sue the military unless they leave.
