If ya'll haven't heard, as of Febuary 14th, 2005 I will be enlisted in the United States Air Force. Feb. 15th begins bootcamp, April 1st I graduate, one year of Tech training to learn my job, then most likely overseas duty, unless I can slip into Officers School.
Nervousness sux, especially when you can't sleep at night, then have to get up and do manual labor all day, and work out, and run...if it wasn't so cold, so....ya.
Keep it real ya'll, I'll see ya'll in April.

Air Force is a fine branch (<--former air force brat-->) and I'm sure you'll do us proud!

While we're at it...what is your college degree? I have loads of info on the OTS, OJT, and all the other officer programs.

good luke dude, you may not be in our air forces but uk and us fight together so hope you do well and do uslot at PO proud my step uncle was a Tornado Navigator in the first gulf then he navigated Cambra's taking surveilance photos during the beginning of the second gulf war, but hes in his late fifties now so their on about retiring him to a desk |

Well that is the funny thing. My AFSC is Linguist which gives me 130+ tech hours. I hope to combine this with my 45+ hours already into something. This will let me slide by, or I can do Below the Zone. Either way, 2nd Lt. looks a lot better to me than Sr.A. as far as pay grade and ability to get the posts I want. But that's a ways off, Liguist is a year long tech with a 78% failure rate. Thanks for the love guys. |

ooooh...yeah the big problem is that it only counts for the Community College of the Air Force. In other schools they count as electives only. FYI 2nd Lt's don't get all they want either...usually they are put under a Chief who consequently are lower ranked but you sort of belong to them for about two years. But when it comes time give me an IM or something. I know more than I wanted to know but hopefully I will be leaving soon for OTS....
You know what? I think we need to IM each other and I can tell ya all about AF life and what not....well myself or Terin. It's alot easier than trying to explain things back and forth on here
anyway....Good luck to ya and here is my tip for basic training...doesn't make sence now but it will when you get there.
Live from meal to meal and Sunday to Sunday and time will fly.

I dabble in a few langs but can't speak any fluently. I do know however that the air force is gonna pump Arabic down my throat. And I can't wait. Cause then I'm gonna end up over seas and hopefully flying. That will make things a lot more interesting.
