Note: I'm not -that- angsty, am I?

She was unfamiliar with temptation before she met him. But now, months later... she could say she knew.

She knew what it was like to fall, captivated, under his hazel-eyed glance; she knew what it was like to believe his gentle whispers and revel in his sweet caresses.

She knew the silver-grey tears that stabbed her cheeks. They always came after a broken promise or an awkward silence.

She knew love's gifts of glory and wonder; she knew pain's thorns of hurt and anguish. She knew them all too well.

Now she wondered whether true love existed, and if that dream would ever come true for her.
