The details aren't totally set in stone yet, but a new take on the VS game will be hitting Japan this coming May.
Here's the short article from Play magazine:
"We've seen Capcom go head-to-head with SNK; now they're joining forces with Namco to create Namco X Capcom, which is, of all things, a strategy RPG developed by Monolith Software [Creators of Xenosaga]. Look for characters from Xenosaga, Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Soul Calibur, Strider, Tekken, Klonoa and more when it hits Japan this May."
