Ok...here's something that has always pissed me off, and continues to haunt me even to this day. WHY...or WHY do teachers and professors not understand the concept of friggin Spring BREAK. BREAK people...as in, "I'm off for two weeks...I'm not supposed to be doing friggin' homework!"

I have this pain in the ass teacher in this class of mine. Just like all professors, she makes a friggin' syllabus at the beginning of the semester. Is it just me, or is a syllabus supposed to be the homework for the semester? Because that's what I thought...until she decides to assign six bullshit assignments every friggin' week. And then there's the e-mailed assignments. She has the nerve, 3 days before class, to send the class an e-mail telling us to do SOMETHING friggin' else for class! WTF is that?!

And here's the ultimate kicker...she tells us today that our midterm is to go out and interview and entrepreneur (it's a class about that) and write a 5 page paper. I start my Spring Break today...know when it's due? The day I get back. THE DAY I GET BACK. Does anyone else see something wrong with that? She then asks the class if anyone is going away. Two kids say they're going to South Beach for the week. You know what she has the nerve to tell them? To interview someone while they're on vacation. Again, does anyone else see something wrong with this?

It's not like it's an extremely difficult assignment...but I HATE (with a burning passion...) interviewing people. I HATE it. And what REALLY bakes my noodle (shut up...) is that while she sits on her lazy ass for 2 weeks...we have to do work. I've said it before and I'll say it again...teachers are getting really out of hand. I could go on and on and on for pages on this, but I'll pause for a while and see what everyone else's thoughts are.

Thanks for listening.

Demon angel

At least we got to be study buddies while you were on break Love.

As for me, I luckily have only a little to do, like study for a midterm and plan a creative project, not to mention continue rehearsing my scenes for directing class

I have a project and a midterm due the DAY I get back. And I have 2 exams that week also. I DO get 2 weeks...but that's only because I go to a Catholic school and we get a 4 day weekend for Easter...which just so happens to start the day after spring break officially ends. So it's technically 2 breaks that I have.

And, again, what REALLY frustrates me is that these teachers just sit on their asses during break, while they assign bullshit work for the students to do. It's so not fair. I think teachers should be required to grade papers over the weekend, and if they can't finish, everyone gets an A, just so they can understand the crap they put us through.

Out of hand I'm telling you...

PS: Billy Idol is my hero.

How horrible. An assignment that encompasses break should never be due the day you get back. Better to have assignments due before or significantly after. My apologies for your teacher's indiscretion. Do tell how many of the assignments actually get done.

As much as I would love to figuratively slap her in the face/give her the finger by just not doing it, I'm not like that. My conscience will get the best of me and I'll end up doing it anyway. Damn being a moral person!!!

Welcome to USA, where you are given... summer reading. >_<

In my case, my last spring break wasn't so bad since I had done all my stuff before the break. But usually, students call it "catch-up week" since this is the off-week where you'll study for midterms and catch up on your homework.
