Serenity/Firefly

Well....this is another one of those shows that FOx canceled after only one season. Joss Whedon(however you spell his name) directed it and it's called firefly.
It's a science/western and it's excellent. It's got humor and action and romance and a lot of dark secrets and it was basically a really really great show that was trashed. It is out on DvD so I think everyone should buy it.

Whish brings me to my next point.
They are making a movie to kind of let us know what happened...sort of closure or something. The movie is called serenity and opens in august. The thing is, if it gets enough support then they might put the show back on the air. So I also would love it if that happened and I think everyone and thei mother and even their mother's mother should go see the movie when it comes out.

I seriously can't stand fox because they cancel all the best shows.

Firefox had a nice little following. I only got to see one episode, but liked it. They announced that they were bringing out Firefox on DVD at one of the cons I was at. Some fanboy started shouting in the Artists Alley that there was an announcement... Firefox is coming out on DVD! This actually got a little bit of fanfare. Funny stuff. That's dedication.

yeah...I hope it goes back on the air but I won't be devastated if it doesn't....

Did anyone manage to get tickets to the screening on the 5th in atlanta? They were sold out by like 2 or something insane like that the day they went on sale.

That's awesome. I've seen an episode here and there I might pick it up on DVD.

Umm, I was at Dragon Con last year and they had some of the actors from Firefly doing a really big panal, and the actors said that Fox gave permission to do the movie, but they were not allowing them to restart the show. That was last September, so things may have changed, but the actors sounded pretty sure that all they would get to do would be movies *points* if this movie does well, then there will be more movies but probably the show would never come back in our generation. *sighs* So this means that we MUST go see it as many times as possible, to make Firefly live on no matter what FOX does!!!

Antinua, you may be right but take a gander at this thought:

They canceled family guy, or at least stopped it...but the DvDs were in such high demand that they have started new seasons of family guy. It seems to me, that if this happens, then it is possible, if only slightly, that a big enough popularity in DvD sales and movie sales might actually make them bring back the show....

those are just my thoughts anyway^.^

Hey, If they bring it back I'll personally have a Firefly Party the night of the premiere!!^_^ Like I said earlier, that was last September, so maybe things will change for the better!
