What's the difference?

Ok, due to a problem with my PS2, I may be in the market for another. My question, however, is what the hell is the difference between the original one and this new, redesigned, slimmer one?

Any help will be greatly appreciated...

Before the old one had an in-made flaw in which after a set time of use it could no longer read blue discs and would eventually not play DVD's of certain types either.

With the new ones those flaws have been eliminated. It can read any disc and can also now read PS1 Memory cards. Quite handy if you have games of all types though should have been put in, in the first place.

The differences are mainly that you get a smaller system. It already has the ethernet adapter already installed, you can't use the HDD, and you can't use your current multitap. You have to get another one.
