yyyyyup...today, I woke up to my parents telling me that John Ritter and Johnny Cash died today. For those of you who may not know John Ritter, he was on a show called Three's company, which was a show that was about 2 girls and a guy living together. Behind stage, the people were at each other's throats, but on stage, it worked very well. Apparently, he died of a heart attack, and at the age of 55. Johnny Cash was the other person. Now, although I'm not a big fan of country music, he had one of the best ballads I've ever heard: Boy named Sue.
May both of these great men rest in peace
That is all |

It's baffling sometimes to see things like this happen when you've grown up with them in your life. Cash is no doubt one of the mastheads of country music who was able to crossover to several different genres, rock, folk, etc. I knew he had been sick a while and I found his video for his last release, the remake of NIN's Hurt, was an eerie goodbye to all of his fans.
John Ritter was quite a surprise. An icon of 70s/80s television and making a comeback with his recent show.
Both of their entertainment will be missed. |

Oh man I haven't seen any news or anything today so this is the first I've heard of it. That makes me sad John Ritter was hilarious on his show Three's Company, and of course Johnny Cash was one of Country Musics legends. Tobias I agree with you about the ballad Boy Named Sue, it is great. I'll have to listen to some Johnny Cash songs later. |

man, i saw this when i got on today and im still kinda in a state of shock and disbelief. I mean especially about Ritter. I remember watching him and him always being so damn funny, he will definitely be missed.
as for Cash, he was so depressing, but dammit if he didnt just suck you in with many of his songs. And Im with ya Doot, the Hurt video is eerie, made me sad everytime i saw/heard it.
