Just thought it would be nice to have a few more selections for the Weapons in the Fighter profile. *waves Bow around* *hint* *hint* *nudge* *nudge*
If anyone else has any ideas for weapons, please post them. |

You could go on all day about weapons:
Whips
Scythes
Hammers
Flails
Cannons
Nunchaku
etc.
Either the weapon selection could be expanded, no improvement could be made, a custom selection could be added, or the weapons could be divided into categories:
Ballistics
Bows
Polearms
Swords
Axes
Daggers
You could then further divide them into "Long Range" and "Short Ranged" for the ranged weapons and "Oversized" and "Practicle" for the melee (or something like that). That way, my 'Ballistic > Short Range (shotgun)' would be a lot different than GAAZ's 'Ballistic > Long Range (sniper rifle)'. 'Sword > Oversize' could represent a two handed sword, a Nightmare from Soulcalibur style weapon, or Sephiroth's gigantic masamune, while 'Sword > Practicle' could be more like Jolly Roger's saber, or Shino's own fire infused goodies.

The weapons at the core are supposed to be categories - which is why I used such generic names as "sword" and "club", and left a space to allow one to give a name to it. This way, if you want nunchakus, you put that in the name, select "club" as the weapon class and there you go.
As far as weapon advantages go, I'll put it off, but I'll keep it in mind. Right now, I'm busy working out some balance issues with the current system and trying to make it as stable as possible before I go ahead and complexify it. After all, the goal is to avoid a "one class to rule them all" scenario.  |

I agree with Shuri though. We should hammer out the current system before making it crazy with new weapon types. |
