And if you knew the laws of the time better, you would know that in WWI merchant ships were not to be armed. The German U-boats were to surface and remove the crew search the holds and only if it was contraband were they allowed to sink it. The Germans complied, but the brits told their merchants to ram the U-boats if they tried it. Then they armed them which was in violation. If you don’t believe me look it up.

And that part about the Germans not following the rules so the allies didn’t have to give me the best laugh I have had in a while.

There was a total double standard. For instance when Germany armed their merchant ships we called them out on it and made them disarm. The allies were continually breaking rules while the Germans complied. Eventually the Germans said fuck it if they won’t play by the rules neither will we. You had it completely backwards.

But this has gotten waaaaaaay off topic. The point of all this is that we, the western powers, Have rarely been much better than our enemies. With exceptions of people like Hitler and Mussolini in WWII

That’s not even what I was talking about. All I was saying was our military history isn't exactly spotless. And that I doubt the figures they give in Iraq. This has gone no where though.
