Which console has the best games?

GBA all the way. I'm a sprite fan at heart, and remaking the games I fell in love with as a child for gba is amazing. the RPG's are always much more fulfilling to me.

Any game thats multiplatform is practically the same game on all systems that its on..the only difference is that depending on the publisher and console, it may not have online capabilities or may have certain exclusive characters.

NBK, if you wanna talk about multiplayer, GC should be last cause it DOESNT have ANY online play whatsoever.

Burnout3 and NSFU came out on xbox and ps2 at the same time.

RE originated on PSX and every RE on GC is also on PS2/PSX except for 0 and code veronica(it blew) to my knowledge.

What does it matter if a console has a ton of craptacular games? Sony is just not as strict on licensing policies and allows more developers to create for them.

Over 60% of the games out on the market are multi-platformed. PS2 has outsold every single game console system since its release(GC has a sold a record low 11.1 million as of E3 last year).

PS2 is the number one console with consumers with average and new gamers.

I have sold games as a job before and the want for PS2 was #1, #2 GBA , Xbox #3, GC #4.

And multiplayer isn't everything, a lot of people love RPGs and the PS2 is the ONLY place to go for RPGs(except for KOTOR1 and 2, they own on xbox).

All the facts lead to PS2 being the #1 game console in the world.

*yawn* Well let's say 25 million xboxs, 25 million PS2s and (really) 25 million GBA/SP and 11 million Gamcubes were sold.

I have 2 Xboxs - one is gimp, one works fine. The one I did have is at my parents house. So there - 3 xboxs. One family.

Dustin has been through 3 PS2s (only has the modded one now) - I don't know all the story behind that.

Zach has had a PS2 and 2 Xboxs (due to theft).

Amber and Adam have been through 4 Xboxs (not including the one I was given), they have 2 gamecubes and have had 3 PS2s.

Now how many people actually own the 25 million the were purchased.

11 million people may own Gamecubes, but that just goes to show how high quality their product really is. Xbox and PS2 (in many cases) have had malfunctions like mad. ; )

And GBA everyone generally likes.

I guess it really comes down to titles for me:

PS2 has Final Fantsy and that's enough for me to own one! I'm a real fan of First-Person Shooters and PS's SUCK!! (except Killzone which I can't rate because I have'nt played)

XBOX (which I voted for.) Has my current infatuation: Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic 1 & 2 and I have to admit that the upgrades that they did for DOA Ultimate were worth the money! The XBox has a couple distinct advantages over the other systems: 1) via XBox Live, you can download patches and expansions! Like the one for KOTOR 1 (Yavin was added Smile

)! 2) You can download your own music and use it as the soundtrack for games you're playing. (The XB Hard Drive RULES!) Also I love FPSs but could'nt stand Halo 1. Halo 2 is much better but is still lacking something to me.

Metroid Prime 1 & 2 were amazing games for the GC! And I REALLY LIKED FF:Crystal Chronicles and play it all the time still. The thing that REALLY PISSED ME OFF about the GC was that in order to play multiplayer on some of the games, namely Crystal Chronicles and Legend Of Zelda: Four Swords, you had to have AT LEAST one (but up to FOUR!!!) GBA and it's patch cord!! ATROCITY, I SCREAM!!!

The GBA I don't really know much except the fact above (BOOO, NINTENDO, BOOO). I have played Fire Emblem and the FF Tactics game for it and they were both AWESOME!

*FF Tactics for the PS still ranks as my FAVORITE game of all time right next to Perfect Dark for the N64.*

Yeah I favor XBox but I will have to go with PS2 on this one.. since gamecube is the only now day system where you have to buy a game for one system then buy another system and some cords to play that one game on the other system.. geesh.

The majority of FPS' that are released on console systems are usually released for XBox and PS2(and sometimes GC also). Those most common games are the Medal of Honor and Call of Duty. The only notable FPS' on Xbox that isn't on PS2 is...HALO 1 & 2. Though both games are awesomely awesome the overall genre of FPS is pretty stable when comparing both the Xbox and PS2.

And with metroid, im more of the retro metroid fan, I liked the original NES ones but i don't like the new ones too much.

FF: Tactics is easily in my top 3 Favorite RPGs of all time(i got tactics during the first and ORIGINAL US release = D ).

PS2 is just so awesome, even if you account for the malfunctions and multipurchases of the PS2, you're still looking at over 55 million units sold. Better than both xbox and gc combined(watch the E3 2004 video).
