Did anyone besides Shanny and I check this show out Friday.

Man, I have to say, I'm pretty impressed.

It's nothing special... it's not like they have incredible weapons or anything like that. But man... the work they do on the ships and stuff ... awesome. I love the way they make the ships move and how exact they make make the nav thrusters work. the way they flip those ships on a dime, you woudn't think it was right, but in theory, it should be like that. Great job on that stuff.

I love where the story is going so far too.

Some of the characters really stand out to me.

Mainly Boomer (who I'm pissed about right now... I can't say why b/c it would be a spoiler) and Starbuck. Dood...Starbuck just kicks ass. I wouldn't want to run into this chick. Anyone that decks her XO... she's got virtual balls baby!

Anyway. Just wanted to start this one up.

<3 I -told- you it was awesome! I saw the original series ages ago, and I knew I loved it, though I honestly couldn't remember why. So I got all excited about the new series.

There are a -lot- of things that are different from the old series if any of you are familiar with it. Like, Boomer and Starbuck being -chicks- for one.

. But it's still really really good. And all the new stuff is more just a new twist on an old theme than anything else...I mean, redoing it exactly the same would probably be really boring.

What I want to know more is do the cylons still dress in that insanely cool armor with the one eye?

They have really cool armor, yes. They're all metal, and whatnot, I mean. But they can also take on human form, apparently. They haven't quite explained that yet, but I think it has something to do with what's-his-face, the Doctor/Scientist/what-the-hell-ever

I loved the Mini series they had last year, it was great, I don't get to see the tv series 'cause of work,though. My favorite thing has to be they way the battles are done. I love how they'll show the ships and then zoom out or in and then swing to the other ships. I love Apollo and Apollo's Dad, i can't remeber his name...

I hope this show lasts longer than the original, even though I loved it just as much!

His dad's name is Adamma ^_^ Well, their last name, and what everybody calls him (since he's all military and whatnot) This amuses me primarily because, if I remember correctly, Adamma means beautiful or some such in Greek. Perhaps beloved...though I think that's Adona.

Edit: I was wrong. It means Beautiful Girl in African. Which is still amusing, considering just about the only characters we're introduced to with that last name are male.

Well Antinua, you can always tape them. I Tivo them, so you can also come by my place and see it. You should join us for 24 on Monday nights, then you can watch Battlestar before it.
