Yeah I saw people running off at the mouth abotu it. But for the most part everything was working fine for me. I ran all the way through the Deadmines with my group with no prob, and there were TONS of enemies roaming. In the end we all managed to kick and collect some Pirate booty.
I managed to get a kick butt hammer and sword, and slaughted the Defias Leader. Yes.....it was a good day ineed.
anyway point is Hyjal seems to have been spared. Huzzah |

Now this is an explination I can live with. The fact that they give us something to work with is satisfying to some degree. |

Poor Blizzard. They made this awesome game and they expected it not to do any better than any of the other MMO's. Instead they have lost more Players due to server crashes than most MMO's had to begin with, and they still have over half a million active accounts. Its good that they give us this kind of information.... not that I understood any of it, but its still an explanation. That in and of itself is very comforting. Given Blizzards track record, I dont expect them to let us down if they can do anything about it. |

It would be nice if Blizzard would put Auction Houses in every major city, and not only Ironforge. Going back to Ironforge is like running the lag gauntlet, simply because of all the people in the city to use the AH.
My server has not been down much, though we have had a lot of refugees from downed servers coming to Dalaran and making new characters. It really shows how addictive WoW is, that people with high level characters will start over on another server, if even for only one night, because they can't stand to not be playing the game. |

That's one of their major plans, as described in a to-do list of things to implement. Blizz plans on getting all 3 auction houses back up again, but this time linked so hopefully that'll relieve the lag a bit. Ironforge is still a pretty viable hub, but during mid-levels so is Stormwind. A lot of high-level stuff goes on near Darnassus, so who knows.. that might be a hangout spot too if you're gonna just fly over to Hinterlands or Felwood.
I currently play on Elune, a medium-load server. I've never encountered a line to log on. We've had some lag, but nothing that would make me want to strangle anyone. So, I'm not quite feeling the outrage some folks are. But I trust in Blizzard's ability to take care of the problem.. some people are just ignorant and want the staff at Blizzard's technical side to be gods. |

You also have to think that it might not all be Blizzards fault. Since WoW doesnt require a high end computer to play, a lot of people just have shitty computers. My comp is not shitty by any means, but I stuck an extra 256 of ram in it the other day and its like a whole new game. I still keep most of vid settings on low so I dont have to switch in mid raid, but with my good settings I get 30 FPS at AH and lag very little going into IF. I am on Khadgar which has medium Population because of the initial outages a lot of people just left Khadgar since they were so low level. Servers might be more of an issue on higher population servers, but if you arent on one of those servers, you might want to think about a little upgrade. |
