Dude I'm sure if you wanted to start any kind of project even a temp just to get your foot in the door there are many talented writers here without much skill in art mediums *cough* like me! *cough* who would gladly collaborate with you if only to see their art in a more tangible form. All of us are comic book/ manga/ anime fans and imagination breeds imagination!

Well, m'friend(and fellow colorist on Dreamwave's first mtmte books), Cil Cheung, had to give up a coloring gig and past the torch to me. ONLY problem with it is that it's a 10-issue mini-series(100 Girls from Arcana Studios), and that I'm hopping on in issue #5, so I won't be coloring the entire mini-series--- and the coloring is very specific to the art. Most of it is cel-shades(sticking mostly to two values, a light and a dark- solid colors with VERY little gradients), so I feel like I'm not getting to give 100% of what I can do in Photoshop to this book- but the people there are nice, and the story catches on to you after a while(which happens when you work on someone with something, I'd hope).
Still hoping I hear from Udon or Devil's Due.

Grpyh: sorry man, no AP for me- least not at the moment. AP has Fred Perry and that dude that does that one comic that was funny(the one they sent...legends from something-er-other)... but after that, nothing. I dunno. I feel like if I applied to AP, that yeah...I'd get in easy- but I'd need to have a "team" ready- and unless it's for a company, I prefer to not work with a "team" on an individual project(because that can get SO stressful when you're trying to make sure that you're not fucking with someone's ideas). A PO comic WOULD be neat, but I, for some reason, just see myself starting it, and then dying out on it. But oh well; things can change.

Whoever gets the TF license, I just hope that they can pick the stories up where they left off with DW; I don' think that's a REALISTIC way of lookin at it, but we JUST NOW got establsihed into another Universe of G1; I'd like to wait at LEAST another year or two before they throw us into a new one; but hell, whatever to see Bumblebee in action.

...why do I see myself editing this later? It just feels like I spewed out three paragraphs of nonsense...but lack of sleep will do that, I suppose?

Well I was just trying to name off the rest of the publishers. I'd say in the case of Image, AP or submitting your own book in general, a miniseries would be a good way to start.

Best bet would be to get the whole thing done or at least half done before submiting to releave pressure.

Also in the case of AP If I'm not mistaken you can pick your own team to work on the book with you. They'll just split the money between the team. I only read the submission guidlines once, so I dunno.

I think Marvel's creator owned line might be a good idea money wise if you decide to subbmit your own book.

Not really sure what would be a good choice between DC or Marvel in general though. There's good and bad things about both.

I know this is gonna sound lame but you could always try Archie Comics. They need a new artist for Sonic badly. lol
