So I found some of my old poetry...

BURNING

My eyes burn with a torrent of tears.
liquid fire races down my face.
Searing, shining droplets
that penetrate my entire being.

My mind burns with a cyclone of thoughts.
A spiral of heat, seeking to destroy
all that I fold dear;
wanting to leave only my charred memories.

My soul burns with a maelstrom of emotion.
each chaotic flame tugging
at my very existence,
pulling me in a myriad of directions.

My heart burns with a ray of hope.
Warm love cascades down to me,
setting me aflame with the desire
to just be there with the one I love.

NO

No! I screamed at the wall,
But it did not listen at all.
No! I pleaded to the sky,
But only the breeze answered with a sigh.

Stop! I shouted to the air,
But like the others, it did not care.
Stop! I cried to the day,
But why should it listen, anyway?

Please! I begged the night,
But it did not take away the bite.
Please! I asked the waving tree,
But it was to busy to help me.

Help! I dropped to my knees,
But no one heard my pleas.
Help! I looked all around,
But not a friend could be found.

Nice. I really like the imagery that came to mind in 'NO' and the word choice in 'Burning' is nice as well.

They're both so good! I think NO is my favorite, but burning is awsome too! Do you have anymore? I'd love to read them.

BROKEN WINGS

Broken wings try to open.
Broken wings strain to fly.
Broken wings spread, but pained.
Broken wings that have been crushed.

Crushed by every tear ever shed.
Crushed by memories too painful to stand.
Crushed by the comments of cruel hearts.
Crushed, never more to fly.

Never more to grace the sky.
Never more to soar over clouds.
Never more to fill with air.
Never more to rise with my spirit.

My spirit that pulses faintly within me.
My spirit that struggles to exist.
My spirit that seeks freedom.
My spirit that is what carries me forward.

WARNING: About child abuse

BEATEN

Characterized by a glistening tear,
a girl sits alone trembling with fear.
She hears the shouts and screams,
and cannot escape, even in dreams.

She knows it is coming and she quakes
as her little hands uncontrollably shake.
She cannot run, nor can she hide,
from this emotional and physical roller coaster ride.

At last it comes, swiftly and sure,
and fills her with pain so pure
that she cannot even stop to yelp
or think about getting help.

A downward motion is all she sees
before her senses all freeze.
Blackness fills her very mind;
she is unconcious one more time.

Grasping at air.
The final thrust,

FOREVER LOVE

Hold me close to you.
Let me hear your beating heart.
Keep our love as strong
as the day that it did start.

Drive away my hidden hurts
and all my deepest pain.
Wash over me with your love
like a pure spring rain.

Never let me slip away
from your loving embrace.
Your eyes a vast horizon
as I gaze into your face.

Passions come; passions fade,
quick to live, swift to die.
Love, though, is forever,
like a never ending sky.
