Kids are awfully destructive. I once remember when I was in 3rd grade, I was the lone guard of a snow fort and some 4ths came over and said they were taking over. I said no.

So, they found an ice ball and shot it straight into my nuts.

Another story, when I was slightly older, was at some summer camp. We are four per room - mine has a fat guy. It's time for the nap. I go into my sleeping bag and wait it out.

What do I see? The two above us slowly descend from their bunks, and then, without a word or any preparation whatsoever, let their fists loose on the fat guy. Lasted the entire week, minus one day when they decided to do it on me.

Yeah I have plenty of stories like that, but they are all still a far cry from strangleing some one for the last hamburger.

Well, this girl was treated in a psychatric institution before hand, so she's obviously unstable. My question is if this girl was being treated for a psychiatric disorder, why the heck would you leave her unsupervised?

I don't know what to postulate, other than the possible psychiatric variations of the 12-year old, that may have caused this. Even so, there'a probably a part of culture that can help explani why she would do such a thing...

...things are getting out of hand these days.

pther than the fact she has pschological problems, its probably due to no discipline.

i was watching a program on tv about kids with ADHD last night, now my fianbces brothers have ADHD and on top of that one has aspergers syndrome and one has autysm, and they were nothing like these kids. one of them was at the supermarket with his mum and she had to bribe him with a toy just to get him out of the car, then another to let her do the shopping and so on.

anorther little boy hit his mum because it was bedtime, and im not talking stropping hitting, im talking full on punch in the stomach, and when it came to telling him off, it was perfetic "dont hit mumy, thats not very nice" and in the most unconvincing voice ever!!

sure people have problems but alot of kids behaviour comes down to lack of discipline, and in some cases this is the parents fault, in others its fear of having their children taken off them, as you cant even smack a chiold on its bottom these days!!

That reminds me of when one of my half-brother's nephews had come over. The guy was a spoiled little brat. And then one fine minute, he said "Hey uncle, I'm doing karate now. Check this out!" And promptly punched my half-brother in the stomach. It hurt.

So, my half brother said "Oh yeah? Cool, now look what I can do:"

*POW!*

God, if I ever tried to strike my mother my dad would have beat me sensless lol. What the hell happend to the good old days when if your kids act up you just "put em back in line"
Parents have physicly dicaplined children for as long as they have had them. Now you can go to jail for that shit. So I guees this past 10 years of child rearing is some how better than the 100,000 years befor Rolling Eyes

My parents never took my shit as a kid, I was the child, they were the parent. If I didnt do what I was supposed to I paid the price. And I feel I am a better person for it.

Well said, reap.

Now they say they want to keep her in 'till she turns 21 ... how is THAT gonna accomplish anything? All those people and the enviroment she'll be in untill her 21st birthday will bring her to become a better person? More then if she was in a family?

They treat anyone that commits offences as ''likely potential serial killers wannabe in the making'' as if, ''they killed once, they'll kill twice, and won't even stop! the child is lost!''

yeah ... I'll sound stupid but huh, where were the parents? Just curious.
